Poems of Hope & Resilience
Greeting Stewards,
Here at PAHS, we love to share poems, stories and resources with you all. In September of 2022, we shared a collection of poems surrounding the themes of anxiety and uncertainty. That collection aligned with our 2022 forum series of “Uncertain Together.”
This year, the theme for our forums is “Radical Hope.” Today, we would like to share another collection of poems from the Poetry Foundation but with the theme of hope and resilience. The editors write, “hope can foster determination and grit—the ability to bounce back and to remain determined despite failures and setbacks—when we make daily efforts to change and improve what we can control.”
We hope you take a look at some of these poems. Some of my personal favorites were “To be of use,” “won’t you celebrate with me,” and “Elegy.”
Lastly, our second forum of the year is next week on July 11! In case you missed it, we will be joined by Judy Connolly, M Health Fairview Chaplain and Resilience/Wellbeing Coach, as a guest facilitator for this forum. There is still time and space left for you to register if you have to.
Warmly,
Asheanna
