More Updates & Symposium Registration Now Open!

Greetings Stewards!

October is officially here, which means our final forum is taking place this month! This month will conclude our first ever series of PAHS forums. We cannot thank everyone enough for attending, participating and being so vulnerable in those two hours. Those nights hold a special place in our hearts, and we hope that everyone who attended was able to take away something from that experience.

We are also excited to announce that registration is now open for the first Project for Advancing Healthcare Stewardship Symposium to be held on Saturday, November 6th, 9am-12pm CT! This hybrid event allows you to participate in-person on the University of Minnesota Campus, or virtually from wherever you are!

With fully interactive options for both virtual and in-person attendees, this symposium includes discussion and breakout sessions aimed at developing our definition of stewardship in the health and healthcare context and homing in on how to take more action toward stewardship (individually, collectively, and systemically). We value your participation in shaping our project’s next phase.

This event is free, but registration is required!  Please note, there are two separate registration links (in-person and virtual) below.  Beverages and snacks will be provided for in-person attendees. All in-person attendees will be expected to follow University of Minnesota COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing a mask at all times (except eating and drinking.)

Questions? Please contact Katie Behrens at behr0042@umn.edu. For any more information, feel free to check out the Symposium page under the events tab on our website!

Additionally, PAHS is still seeking personal health narratives for a digital archive and potential future anthology. Specifically, we want unpublished nonfiction, first-person stories and/or nonfiction poetry by patients, caregivers, all health and mental health professionals, students and anyone else who wants to share experiences of giving or receiving health care. We are grateful for each and every submission and appreciate not only the time it takes to write your stories, but also the vulnerability and courage it takes to raise your voice.

Please check out the Share Your Story page for more information!

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at steward@umn.edu.

On behalf of the PAHS Team,

Asheanna
